How can we dry in minutes?

Our patented technology creates a high powered airflow that pushes the humidity out of the fabric in the shoes or gloves you are drying. 

The result is that we dry most items in 20-30 minutes.  For big boots or rain boots allow up to 40 minutes. 

A boxing glove is dry in less than 10 minutes.

We also provide sensitive drying for leather boots with no heat.

In collaboration with engineers at the Waterpower Laboratory at NTNU - designers of water turbines for power plants - we have designed both the impeller and fan house from scratch. 

We have been able to optimise airflow by utilising turbo technology.

The key to fast drying is through creating a high flow of hot air at high pressure.  The Hedgehog drier achieves this by using a compact brushless motor, a purpose-built impeller and a ceramic heating element.  

The result is a super powerful fan which is truly unique and unparalleled in performance.

The ceramic heating element is fire safe and all electrical componentry in coated with fire and corrosion resistant gel. The Hedgehog unit comes with double fuses and a temperature sensor fitted as standard for your peace of mind.

All Models Have A 10-hour Timer, Odor remover, Adjustable Heat, Airflow And Tornado Mode.

The story behind Hedgehog

Bjørn Holte moved from New York City to the skitown Hemsedal and quickly discovered the daily challenge, nuisance, and headache of having multiple pairs of dry gloves and shoes for their growing family. With three (now five!) young children, gloves, shoes and boots were frequently soaking wet or totally misplaced once they arrived at home.

Bjørn tried to use shoe dryers on the market, but the other products were weak and ineffective. He needed a simple solution that would dry and organize his family's gloves and boots quickly and decided to create a new product that would solve the problem. This is how the idea of Hedgehog originated.
